Join other dancers of all levels on Wednesdays at St Michael’s Hall in Mount Pleasant for open practice time. What happens on these evenings? Mostly it’s a small, casual mixer: folks who’ve just finished a class… dancing, working out moves or steps, and trading ideas and tips. Dancers who aren’t in Wednesday classes (or classes at all) are welcome, too. Sometimes a few dancers are working on a choreography or combination, and they ask for a specific song once or twice. Sometimes they just want a particular style of song played for their practice: e.g., fast, slow, Charleston-y, etc.
If you want a space to explore Swing and Solo Jazz with other dancers, whether you just want to dance, or you want to work on something, the RCP open practice is a space that’s here for you.
We welcome donations from participants to help with the cost of rent during the open practice hours. You can bring cash ($5 suggested) or send an e-transfer once in a while with a note on what it’s for. But more importantly: come join the open practice nights!
