Date(s) - Saturday, Mar 2
4:45pm - 7:30pm
These workshops are open to all Lindy hoppers. They will be of particular interest to those with some Vintage Jazz dance experience who want to get more body movement, groove, and flow into their steps, transitions, and dancing.
In the first workshop – Getting Funky – we’ll work on using your hips and shoulders more, as well as different styles of bounce, and how to adapt our movement and style to the music.
The second workshop will apply these techniques to a fun and funky routine that dancer and instructor Remy Kouakou Kouame choreographed. Inspired by the Shim Sham routine that is loved and danced in Swing dance communities around the world, it is playful and full of movement. Check out this performance and join us on March 2nd!
