Learn to swing dance in a weekend!
If you’ve never danced before, or maybe tried it out but never felt like you quite got it, this holiday weekend’s beginner classes are for you!
Get great instruction in a condensed intensive format. Start off slow and easy, practice, and meet other new Swing dancers. Take advantage of coaching between instruction sessions. Join the Sunday dance at the Russian Hall, part of a weekend long Swing dance festival: 7pm Cabaret; 8:30-midnight live music/DJ Swing dancing. The final class on Monday is followed by a social dance with local experienced Swing dancers. Grab a snack/wrap/sandwich and drink from a nearby café between classes!
Sunday, September 6 and Monday September 7 at the Ukrainian Hall in Strathcona from 11:30am-3:30pm each day. Sunday dance and Monday social are at the Russian Hall, 600 Campbell Ave.
