Balboa 1 – Intro to Bal and Bal-Swing

Balboa is a swing dance that originated in Southern California in the 1920s and 30s. Built for speed and crowded ballrooms, balboa is characterized by driving rhythm and strong partner connection. This class will focus on fundamentals of pure balboa (danced in close embrace) and bal-swing to get you dancing bal on the social floor. No experience necessary. For students who took Intro to Pure Balboa, there will be some review but also new material.
